Abilities

Combat and passive abilities
Two different types of abilities can be distinguished in Elarium; Combat Abilities and Passive Abilities. These abilities are unlocked through Weapon Caches and game progression.

Combat Abilities

Combat weapon abilities grant each weapon freely usable ("on use") combat abilities. These abilities have cooldowns, some are limited by only a few charges per life.

Passive Abilities

Passive Abilities function passively without having the “on use” feature. However, these are designed to affect or enhance Combat Abilities. One example would be a passive ability which reduces the cooldowns of combat abilities after killing a player.
